Corumbau means in Tupi-Guarani: "The end of the world and the beginning of the earth" because the tip of land advancing into the sea, giving the impression of being at the end or in beginning of the world.
It is undoubtedly that Corumbau is one of the most beautiful beaches of Bahia. It is located 80 km from the city of Prado. Across the Corumbau river, it's possible access the Mirror Beach (Praia do Espelho) as well Caraíva and Reservation of Pataxós Indians.
The access by car is made by a dirt road 55km taking to Guarani (12 km) that connects Itamaraju the Prado.
